Sophia Krzys Acord is a specialist researcher at UC Berkeley's Center for Studies in Higher Education (CSHE), working on the The Future of Scholarly Communication Project. She is a Ph.D. Candidate in Sociology at The University of Exeter, U.K. and holds an MRes (Masters of Research Methodology) in Sociology (also from Exeter), and a BA in Sociology & Anthropology (minor in Interpretation Theory) from Swarthmore College. She is a pre-doctoral fellow at Yale University’s Center for Cultural Sociology and at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales’ Group for the SocioAnthropology of the Fine Arts (Paris). She also co-edits the journal Music and Arts in Action (MAiA).
