Shannon Lawrence

Shannon Lawrence is a researcher at UC Berkeley’s Center for Studies in Higher Education (CSHE), responsible for research design, instrument development, data collection, and analysis. She currently works as part of a collaborative team on the The Future of Scholarly Communication project.

Past work includes serving as the assistant director of the Higher Education in the Digital Age program area at CSHE, where she coordinated a two-year foundation-funded evaluation of technology enhancements in a large lecture course and co-edited a volume on distance learning efforts in research universities. Ms. Lawrence has collaborated on national and statewide research and evaluation projects while acting as training and evaluation specialist at the California Social Welfare and Education Center (CalSWEC). She has also contributed to projects at the Service-Learning Research and Development Center and the National Center for Research in Vocational Education

Ms. Lawrence holds an M.A. in education from the UC Berkeley, with a focus on social and cultural studies, and a B.A. in communications from UC San Diego.
