Bio/CV: 

Professor Zhang Junchao has been engaged in research and teaching in the field of higher education studies since she obtained her Ph.D. in 2008.Her primary research fields include higher education policy and institutional research. Currently, she serves as a professor at the School of Education, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China. In addition, she concurrently holds the roles of vice president and secretary-general of the Institutional Research Branch of China Association of Higher Education(CAHE).

Prof. Zhang is the author of several academic books.“The Flowing Directions of River : What Matters Most for College Student Success in the 21st Century”(2021) and "The Floating Tribes in the University Field : A Study on Young Faculty’s Development Status and Coping Strategies"(2009) are two of them. She has published over 30 academic papers focusing on college student outcome assessment and academic profession & faculty development. She has been honored with several academic awards, including the National Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Nomination Award, the National Teaching Achievement Award, and the Humanities and Social Sciences Outstanding Achievement Award in China.
