Qilin is a Ph.D candidate in School of Education, Tsinghua University. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in History and a Master’s degree in Education. Her research has been published in leading Chinese journals such asChina Higher Education Research, Tsinghua Journal of Education, andAcademic Degrees & Graduate Education, Journal of Hebei Normal University (Educational Science). Her work engages with topics including doctoral education funding policy, sociology of education, and the history of higher education.
During her time at CSHE at UC Berkeley, she looks forward to further developing interdisciplinary approaches by integrating statistical methods with historical inquiry, while continuing progress toward her doctoral dissertation on higher education as a field of study in America (1950s to 1980s).
