ELA Fellowships for Ukraine

The Executive Leadership Academy for Ukrainian University Leaders at UC Berkeley

Call for Applications - CLOSED

The Executive Leadership Academy (ELA), organized by the Center for Studies in Higher Education at UC Berkeley is accepting applications from Ukrainian university leaders to participate in the ELA 2023 Virtual Program in July 10 - 18, 2023.

We invite applications from senior executive leaders (rectors/vice-rectors/deans) who are interested in advancing their leadership skills, networking with American university executives and expanding their knowledge about the US higher education system. The ELA stands in solidarity with Ukrainian academics and believes that strong universities are crucial for Ukraine’s victory and recovery. The ELA hopes to support Ukrainian universities in times of crisis by offering training and networking opportunities for university leaders. Igor Chirikov (Senior Researcher and SERU Consortium Director, CSHE) and Joseph Castro (Affiliated Faculty, CSHE and Former Chancellor, CSU) are co-chairs of this initiative.

Format:

Virtual participation, July 10 - 18, 2023 (7pm – 1 am Ukraine time). The program for Ukrainian participants will also include a full-day ELA Ukraine Professional Development Seminar focused on issues that are relevant for Ukrainian higher education.
