Nathan Grawe and Jeff Selingo event

Webinar | September 20 | 12pm-1pm PT | Livestream

From shifting demographics, tuition and student loan issues, standardized testing differences, competition between small and larger institutions, and more, how will current trends affect future admissions policies? Join us for a discussion of these trends and their impact with New York Times bestselling author Jeff Selingo, and Carleton College Professor of Economics Dr. Nathan Grawe.

Dr. Nathan Grawe’s 2018 book, Demographics and The Demand for Higher Education (Johns Hopkins University Press) examines how recent demographic shifts are likely to affect demand for higher education. In a follow-up project, The Agile College (Johns Hopkins University Press, forthcoming), Nathan draws on interviews with higher education leaders to provide examples of how proactive institutions are grappling with demographic change.

Jeff Selingo's latest book, Who Gets In & Why: A Year Inside College Admissions, was published in September 2020 and was named among the 100 Notable Books of the year by the New York Times. A regular contributor to The Atlantic, Selingo is a special advisor for innovation and professor of practice at Arizona State University.
