Xiao Jia is a Ph.D. student in Graduate School of Education, Dalian University of Technology (DUT). He is currently a visiting student researcher at the Center for Studies in Higher Education, UC Berkeley.
He got Bachelor degree in Engineering and Master degree in Management at DUT. His research interests includes the regional disparity in higher education, university governance, and student experience in higher education. He has participated in four national projects and one provincial project and publish several papers in these areas.
Objective:
During his stay at CSHE, Xiao plans to follow the SERU program and use the data to analysis the students’ experience in DUT with a perspective of comparison. He also plans to finish his doctoral dissertation, which is about the coordination evaluation of regional development of higher education in China.
